PLAIN-LANGUAGE ANSWER

These Terms govern how visitors may use MUD Official. You may explore and share links to the public

site for lawful personal and editorial purposes, but MUD’s original animation, designs, characters, text,

audio, production materials, trademarks and website experience may not be copied, scraped,

republished, commercially exploited or used to train a model without permission.

1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to mudofficial.com and the MUD Official pages, media,

interactive experiences and public materials that link to them (together, the “Site”). The Site is operated

by MUD PRODUCTIONS, trading as MUD Productions and MUD Official (“MUD”, “we”, “us” or

“our”).

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. Our

Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled and forms part of your relationship with the

Site. Additional written terms may apply to a press kit, licensed asset, event, competition, production

engagement, paid product or other specific service; those specific terms control if they conflict with

these Terms for that service.

2. Who may use the Site

You may use the Site only if you can lawfully agree to these Terms. If you are below the age of legal

majority where you live, use the Site with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Children should not

submit personal information, professional enquiries or creative materials through public forms. A parent

or guardian who permits a minor to use the Site is responsible for supervising that use to the extent

allowed by law.

3. What the Site provides

MUD Official is the public home of MUD Productions’ story worlds and production work. It may include

trailers, clips, transcripts, characters, worlds, artifacts, journal articles, production notes, archive

material, press resources, accessibility features, release updates and contact routes for press, festivals,

education, distribution, licensing and production partnerships.

The Site is an evolving creative and production archive. Material may be added, revised, corrected,

reorganised or removed as the project develops. Unless an authorised MUD announcement states

MUD PRODUCTIONS / WEBSITE LEGAL PAGES DRAFT FOR REVIEW

otherwise, a concept, production note, planned chapter, working title, image or anticipated release is

not a binding promise that a work will be completed, released on a particular date or remain

unchanged.

4. Permission to use the Site

MUD grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to access the public

Site for lawful personal, informational, educational and editorial reference. This permission does not

transfer ownership and does not include a right to commercially exploit any material.

You may link to public pages and use the Site’s official share or embed controls, provided you do so

accurately, do not imply endorsement or partnership, and do not bypass access, attribution, geographic

or technical restrictions. Any press-kit asset may be used only within the licence or usage note supplied

with that asset.

5. Intellectual property and cultural-source material

The Site and MUD’s original expression within it—including animation, films, clips, scripts, adaptations,

character and environment designs, illustrations, 3D models, textures, audio, music, voice

performances, titles, logos, interface design, code, writing, transcripts, captions, production documents

and selection or arrangement of archive material—are owned by or licensed to MUD and are protected

by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Dastan-e-Ameer Hamza belongs to a deep Indo-Persian and Urdu storytelling tradition with many texts,

editions, tellings, translations and cultural contributors. MUD does not claim rights that belong to

another rights holder or that applicable law places in the public domain. These Terms reserve rights in

MUD’s original adaptation, research selection, scripts, designs, production assets and presentation.

“MUD Productions”, “MUD Official”, the supplied MUD PRODUCTIONS emblem, project titles, logos and

related marks are trademarks or identifiers of MUD or their respective owners. No use is permitted in a

way that suggests source, sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation without written approval.

6. Uses that require written permission

Unless law expressly permits the use or MUD gives prior written permission, you must not: reproduce,

download in bulk, publish, distribute, sell, license, broadcast, screen publicly or create derivative works

from Site material; extract characters, environments, artifacts, models, textures, audio or production

assets; remove watermarks, credits, rights notices or technical protections; frame or mirror the Site; use

Site material in merchandise, advertising, fundraising or a commercial pitch; or use automated tools to

scrape, harvest, index beyond ordinary search-engine crawling, build a dataset, conduct text or data

mining, or train, fine-tune, evaluate or operate an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system.

Search engines may crawl public pages only in accordance with MUD’s robots instructions and

applicable law. Accessibility tools, security research performed lawfully and uses protected by

mandatory law are not prohibited merely because they involve technical processing.

7. Video, audio, transcripts and downloads

A trailer, clip, transcript or caption file is provided for viewing and accessibility unless its page expressly

grants another use. Do not separate audio, captions, subtitles, frames or clips for redistribution,

impersonation, synthetic media, voice cloning or misleading edits. A download button permits only the

use stated beside it; it is not a general commercial licence.

Public or educational screenings, festival exhibitions, broadcaster use, distribution, localisation, archive

acquisition and press reproduction require the appropriate written licence unless an applicable press-kit

term expressly permits the use. Contact MUD through the relevant Contact route.

8. Journal and production-archive content

Journal articles and production notes explain MUD’s creative process, adaptation choices and evolving

continuity. They are editorial materials, not a definitive scholarly edition, legal opinion, religious ruling

or historical guarantee. MUD may correct or expand them as research and production continue. If you

quote or discuss them under a lawful exception, attribute the author, article title and canonical page,

and do not alter the meaning.

9. Enquiries, opportunities and project discussions

The Contact page may route enquiries for general matters, press, festivals, education, distribution and

licensing, production partnerships and technical website issues. Sending an enquiry does not create an

agency, employment, partnership, fiduciary, distribution, licensing, production or other contractual

relationship; does not require MUD to evaluate, fund, produce or respond to a project; and does not

reserve talent, rights, territory, schedule or capacity.

You must provide accurate contact information, have authority to speak for any organisation you name,

and describe a professional opportunity without revealing information you are not authorised to

disclose. Do not treat the form as a confidential channel. A binding relationship exists only when

authorised parties sign a written agreement.

10. Unsolicited creative submissions

MUD does not accept unsolicited scripts, treatments, pitch decks, concepts, characters, artwork, music,

footage or story ideas through the public Site. This policy helps avoid misunderstandings where

independent creators develop similar themes or material.

If you send unrequested creative material despite this notice, MUD may delete it without opening or

reviewing it and has no obligation to return it, preserve it, keep it confidential, compensate you or

explain its decision. You keep any rights you legally own; these Terms grant MUD only the limited

technical permission reasonably necessary to receive, secure, route, respond to or delete the

communication. Nothing in this section authorises MUD to commercially exploit your protected work

without a separate lawful basis or written agreement.

MUD PRODUCTIONS / WEBSITE LEGAL PAGES DRAFT FOR REVIEW

If MUD invites a submission, use only the channel and terms in that invitation. An agreed non-disclosure

agreement or submission release controls the invited exchange to the extent it conflicts with this

section.

11. Feedback about the Site

You may send non-confidential feedback about usability, accessibility, captions, transcripts, errors or

technical performance. You give MUD permission to use that feedback without payment or attribution

to improve the Site and its services. This clause does not apply to creative works or project pitches,

which are governed by section 10.

12. Acceptable use

You must not use the Site to break the law; infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights;

impersonate another person or misrepresent authority; submit malware, spam, harmful code or

deceptive content; probe or bypass security; interfere with the Site or another visitor; overload

infrastructure; harvest contact details; manipulate analytics, votes or engagement; use the Site to

harass, exploit or endanger anyone; or help another person do any of these things.

Do not upload personal information about another person unless you have a lawful reason and

authority to do so. Do not send information about a child through a public form.

13. Third-party services and links

The Site may link to or embed a video platform, social network, press outlet, festival, partner,

distributor, ticketing service or other third party. MUD does not control the third party’s availability,

security, advertising, content, terms or privacy practices and is not responsible for them. A link or

embed does not by itself mean that MUD endorses every statement, product or service on that

platform.

14. Linking to MUD Official

You may link to a public page in a fair, lawful and non-misleading way. Do not imply that MUD has

approved you, your organisation, your product or your interpretation unless MUD has done so in

writing. Do not frame the Site, obscure its origin, use a misleading anchor, link from unlawful or abusive

material, or reproduce a substantial part of a page instead of linking to it. We may ask you to remove a

link that violates these conditions.

15. Availability, accessibility and changes

We aim to keep MUD Official available, secure and accessible, including readable HTML, captions,

transcripts and reduced-motion alternatives where applicable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted

access, compatibility with every device or that every 3D or media feature will always work.

MUD PRODUCTIONS / WEBSITE LEGAL PAGES DRAFT FOR REVIEW

Maintenance, security, rights restrictions, technical faults or production decisions may require

suspension or change.

MUD may modify, withdraw or restrict a feature or item of content and may correct errors at any time.

If a material change affects an agreed paid or licensed service, the specific agreement for that service

will control.

16. Copyright or rights concerns

If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, trademark, privacy or another legal right,

use https://mudofficial.com/contact/ with your name and contact details; identification of the protected work or

right; the exact Site URL and material concerned; the basis of your claim; a statement that the

information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act; and any signature or

verification required by applicable law.

Do not describe MUD as having a registered United States DMCA agent unless that appointment has

been completed and verified. MUD may request further information and may remove or restrict

material while a good-faith concern is reviewed.

17. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. MUD does not

promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, suitable for a particular purpose, or free

from harmful components; that information will always be complete or current; or that a planned work,

feature, release, partnership or opportunity will proceed.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a guarantee, warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded. You

are responsible for your device, connection, backups, browser and the decisions you make based on

public Site material.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MUD and its directors, personnel, contractors, licensors and

service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive

loss; loss of profits, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, data or anticipated savings; or loss arising from

reliance on release plans, interruption, third-party services, unauthorised access or misuse of the Site.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited only to the maximum extent the law permits.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury

caused by negligence, deliberate misconduct, or any other liability that applicable law does not allow a

party to exclude or limit.

COUNSEL DECISION REQUIRED

Do not insert a monetary liability cap until MUD’s governing law, commercial model, insurance and any

paid services are confirmed. A jurisdiction-specific cap should be drafted by counsel.

19. Responsibility for misuse

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for reasonable losses, claims and costs

directly caused by your unlawful use of the Site, your material breach of these Terms or your

infringement of another person’s rights. MUD will give reasonable notice of a covered claim and will not

seek recovery to the extent a loss was caused by MUD. Consumer rights that cannot be waived remain

unaffected.

20. Suspension and termination

MUD may block, suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Site, comply

with law, investigate security or rights concerns, or respond to a material breach of these Terms.

Provisions that by their nature should continue—including intellectual-property, submission, disclaimer,

liability, dispute and general provisions—survive termination.

21. Governing law and disputes

Before starting formal proceedings, you and MUD agree to make a reasonable good-faith attempt to

resolve the issue through https://mudofficial.com/contact/. This informal step does not prevent either party from

seeking urgent protective relief or using a regulator, small-claims process or other forum that applicable

law guarantees.

22. General terms

Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any applicable specific written terms form the

agreement about public use of the Site.

Severability. If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum

extent necessary, and the remaining provisions continue.

No waiver. A delay or failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without MUD’s written consent. MUD

may transfer these Terms as part of a lawful reorganisation, financing, merger or transfer of the Site or

relevant business, subject to applicable law.

Headings. Headings are for navigation and do not change the meaning of a provision.

23. Changes to these Terms

MUD PRODUCTIONS / WEBSITE LEGAL PAGES DRAFT FOR REVIEW

MUD may update these Terms when the Site, services, rights, law or operating model changes. The

updated Terms will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Where a change materially

affects existing users or a service, MUD will provide additional notice when required. Continued use

after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
