PLAIN-LANGUAGE ANSWER

MUD Productions uses personal information to operate MUD Official, respond to enquiries, send release

updates you request, keep the website secure and understand how the experience performs. We aim to

collect only what we need and do not invite children to submit personal information through public

forms.

1. Who we are

MUD Official is the website of MUD PRODUCTIONS, trading as MUD Productions and MUD Official

(“MUD”, “we”, “us” or “our”). MUD Productions is an independent animation and story-development

studio creating cinematic story worlds, beginning with an animated adaptation of Dastan-e-Ameer

Hamza.

For the personal information covered by this Privacy Policy, MUD is the organisation responsible for

deciding why and how that information is used, unless a notice presented at the point of collection says

otherwise.

Registered address: DHA pahse 8 ex air avenue Lahore.

2. What this Policy covers

This Policy applies when you visit mudofficial.com and its public pages, including the Home Portal,

Watch, Trailer, Characters, Worlds, Artifacts, Making the Series, Production Archive, Journal, About,

Press, FAQ and Contact areas. It also applies when you join release updates, contact MUD about press,

festivals, education, distribution and licensing, production partnerships or technical issues, or otherwise

communicate with us through a channel that links to this Policy.

This Policy does not control a third party’s website, video platform, social network or service, even when

MUD links to or embeds it. Those organisations apply their own privacy terms. A future shop, paid

service, casting portal, recruitment service or account area may require an additional notice presented

before information is collected.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you choose to provide

MUD PRODUCTIONS / WEBSITE LEGAL PAGES DRAFT FOR REVIEW

Enquiries. Your name, email address, organisation, role, country or region, enquiry type, message and

any files or links you deliberately send.

Release updates. Your email address, subscription choice, consent record, signup source and

unsubscribe status.

Press, festival, education, distribution, licensing and production-partnership contact. Professional

identity and contact details, the organisation you represent, project or opportunity information and

correspondence required to assess or answer the enquiry.

Technical support. The problem you report, screenshots or device details you provide and our

correspondence with you.

Other communications. Information contained in email, social messages or other correspondence when

you contact an official MUD channel.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card data, government identifiers, medical information,

information about children, or other sensitive or confidential material through a general website form.

For creative materials, see “Production enquiries and unsolicited materials” below.

3.2 Information collected when you use the Site

Subject to your device settings and any consent choices required by law, the Site and its service

providers may collect:

Device and connection data. Internet Protocol address, approximate location derived from it, browser,

operating system, device type, language and network information.

Usage data. Pages viewed, referring page, date and time, navigation paths, interactions with controls,

video events, scroll or session activity, and engagement with the 3D interface.

Performance and security data. Load times, crashes, error messages, diagnostic logs, suspected abuse,

consent preferences and security events.

Cookie and similar identifiers. Identifiers stored or read by cookies, local storage, pixels, software

development kits or comparable technology, as described in section 7.

3.3 Information from other sources

We may receive limited information from a video or social platform when you interact with an

embedded player or official MUD account; from an email provider when you open, click, subscribe or

unsubscribe; from a festival, press contact, distributor, cultural institution or production partner that

introduces you; or from public professional sources where reasonably necessary to verify or respond to

a business enquiry. We use that information only for the purposes described here and identify the

source when required by law.

4. Why we use information

MUD PRODUCTIONS / WEBSITE LEGAL PAGES DRAFT FOR REVIEW

Operate and deliver the Site. To load pages, play requested media, remember accessibility or consent

choices, provide captions and transcripts, and maintain the 3D and fallback experiences. The basis is

performance of a requested service and our legitimate interest in providing a functional website.

Respond to you. To answer general, press, festival, education, distribution, licensing, production-

partnership or technical enquiries and take steps you request before a possible agreement. The basis is

your request, steps before a contract, or our legitimate interest in professional communication.

Send release updates. To send news, trailers, journal updates or release notices only when you have

requested them or another lawful basis applies. The basis is consent where required. You can

unsubscribe at any time.

Improve content and performance. To understand aggregate use, fix errors, assess accessibility,

improve navigation and decide which public materials are useful. The basis is consent where required

for analytics and otherwise our legitimate interest in improving the Site.

Protect MUD and visitors. To prevent fraud, spam, malicious automation, unauthorised access,

intellectual-property misuse and threats to the Site. The basis is our legitimate interest in security and,

where relevant, legal obligations.

Manage professional relationships. To keep records of press, festival, education, distribution, licensing

and production discussions, administer agreed projects and protect legal rights. The basis is contract,

steps before a contract, legitimate interests or legal obligations.

Comply with law. To keep required records, respond to lawful requests, enforce terms, resolve disputes

and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether the use is necessary, proportionate and

compatible with your reasonable expectations. You may object where applicable; see section 13.

5. When providing information is optional or necessary

You can browse much of the Site without actively identifying yourself. Information marked as required

in a form is needed to send the message, deliver the update or respond to the selected enquiry. If you

do not provide it, we may be unable to complete that request. Do not provide more information than

the form asks for.

6. Production enquiries and unsolicited materials

A production-partnership form may be used to introduce a professional opportunity in non-confidential

terms. Unless MUD has invited specific materials and agreed written submission conditions, do not send

scripts, treatments, pitch decks, character concepts, artwork, story ideas, confidential production data

or other proprietary creative materials through the Site.

If you send unrequested creative material, MUD may delete it without review. The general contact form

is not a secure deal room and does not create a duty of confidentiality, a production commitment or an

obligation to respond. If MUD asks you to provide further materials, the request, any non-disclosure

agreement and the applicable project terms will govern that exchange.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site may use the following categories of technology. The cookie banner should identify the tools

actually active, their providers, purposes

and durations.

Strictly necessary. Required for security, network delivery, accessibility, consent management and

functions you request. These cannot always be switched off through the Site.

Preferences. Remember choices such as language, captions, reduced motion, volume or display settings.

Analytics and performance. Help us understand aggregate visits, errors, navigation and media

performance. Where required, these operate only after consent.

Embedded media and social features. A video, social post or share feature may connect to its provider.

We recommend click-to-load or privacy-enhanced embeds so non-essential connections occur only after

your choice.

Advertising or cross-site measurement. Do not enable this category unless it has been approved,

accurately described and supported by all legally required consent and opt-out controls.

You can control cookies through your browser, although blocking necessary technology may affect

some features. Withdrawing

consent does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.

LAUNCH CLAUSE - VENDOR AUDIT REQUIRED

Recommended public statement if confirmed: “We do not sell personal information for money. We do

not use personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. If that changes, we will update

this Policy and provide any choice required by law before the new use begins.” Remove this callout or

replace it with an accurate sale/share notice if the vendor audit does not support the statement.

8. How we share information

We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary to:

Service providers. Use hosting, content delivery, security, form delivery, email, analytics, accessibility,

video, cloud storage, customer-relationship and technical-support providers that process information

for MUD under appropriate instructions or contracts.

Professional advisers. Consult lawyers, accountants, insurers, auditors and other advisers subject to

confidentiality duties.

Production and commercial counterparties. Share a professional enquiry with the relevant MUD team,

authorised producer, distributor, festival, partner or rights representative when necessary to progress

the request and permitted by law.

Authorities and legal process. Comply with law, court orders or lawful requests, or protect the rights,

safety, property and security of MUD, visitors or others.

Business change. Support a merger, financing, reorganisation, sale of assets or similar transaction,

subject to confidentiality and appropriate notice where required.

MUD PRODUCTIONS / WEBSITE LEGAL PAGES DRAFT FOR REVIEW

We do not permit a service provider to use personal information for its own unrelated purposes merely

because it processes information for us. Third-party platforms you choose to use may act under their

own terms and privacy policies.

9. International transfers

MUD’s website, team or service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Those

countries may apply different privacy rules. Where law requires safeguards for a transfer, MUD will use

an approved mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another lawful

safeguard, and will make further information available on request where required.

10. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose described,

including security, recordkeeping, legal and dispute requirements. The actual schedule must be

approved before launch. Recommended starting points are below and may be shortened or extended

when a contract, legal hold or applicable law requires it.

General and technical enquiries. Up to 24 months after the last meaningful communication, unless a

continuing relationship or legal need justifies longer.

Press, festival, education, distribution, licensing and production relationships. For the active

relationship and a reasonable period afterward consistent with contractual and legal limitation periods.

Release-update subscriptions. Until you unsubscribe or the list is retired. We may retain minimal

suppression information so we do not re-add an unsubscribed address by mistake.

Security and diagnostic logs. Normally 30 to 90 days, unless an incident, abuse investigation or legal

requirement justifies longer.

Cookie and consent records. For the duration stated in the live cookie list and as needed to

demonstrate and honour your choices.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, subject to backup cycles and legal

preservation duties.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect

information against accidental or unlawful loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure or access. No internet

service is completely secure. Please use official contact routes, do not send sensitive material through

general forms, and contact us through https://mudofficial.com/contact/ if you believe your interaction with the Site has been

compromised.

12. Children and families

MUD PRODUCTIONS / WEBSITE LEGAL PAGES DRAFT FOR REVIEW

MUD’s stories and animation may interest families and younger viewers. However, public contact,

newsletter and professional-enquiry features are not designed for children to submit personal

information on their own. If you are under 13, or below the minimum age at which you may consent to

online data use where you live, do not use those features without a parent or guardian.

We do not knowingly seek personal information directly from a child through the Site without the

notice, consent and safeguards required by law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has

provided personal information, contact us through https://mudofficial.com/contact/. We will investigate and delete or otherwise

handle the information as required.

Before launch, MUD must assess the Site’s intended and actual audience, animated content, interactive

design, advertising, embeds and form configuration. If any service is directed to children or treated as

mixed-audience under applicable law, a child-specific notice and verified parental-consent process may

be required.

13. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live and subject to legal limits, you may have the right to ask us to: confirm

whether we process your personal information; provide access or a copy; correct inaccurate

information; delete information; restrict or object to certain uses; provide portable information; or

explain relevant safeguards for an international transfer. You may also withdraw consent and complain

to the data-protection authority or regulator available in your jurisdiction.

To make a request, use https://mudofficial.com/contact/ and describe the right you wish to exercise. We may need

to verify your identity and authority, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We

will not discriminate against you for exercising a legally protected privacy right. An authorised agent may

act where the law permits and required verification is provided.

Email choices. Use the unsubscribe link in a release update or contact us. Service or relationship

messages that are necessary to answer an enquiry or administer an agreement are not marketing

emails.

Cookie choices. Browser-level signals, including legally recognised opt-out preference signals, should

be honoured where applicable and

technically supported.

14. Additional regional information

14.1 EEA, United Kingdom and similar laws

Where applicable, the lawful bases described in section 4 apply. You may complain to your local

supervisory authority. If MUD must appoint a representative or data protection officer, the verified

details will appear in section 1. MUD will not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal

or similarly significant effects unless it provides the notice and safeguards required by law.

14.2 California and other US state laws

MUD PRODUCTIONS / WEBSITE LEGAL PAGES DRAFT FOR REVIEW

Where MUD is subject to an applicable state privacy law, residents may have rights to know, access,

correct or delete personal information and to opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising or

profiling. The availability and scope of a right depend on the law and whether MUD meets its

applicability thresholds. The live Policy and cookie controls must accurately state the categories

collected, sources, purposes, disclosures, retention and any sale or sharing practices.

14.3 Other locations

You may have additional rights under local law. MUD will apply rights and protections required in the

place relevant to the processing. A reference to a particular region in this Policy does not mean that

every law named applies to MUD in every circumstance.

15. Third-party links, players and social features

The Site may link to or display content from video platforms, social networks, press outlets, ticketing

services, festivals, partners or other third parties. If you activate or follow those features, the third party

may receive information such as your IP address, device details and the page you visited. Review the

third party’s terms and privacy policy. MUD is not responsible for a third party’s independent practices.

16. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the Site, technology, audience, law or MUD’s practices change. We will

post the updated version here, change the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when

required or when a change materially affects your choices. Earlier versions should be retained in MUD’s

internal release archive.
